This Privacy Policy describes how HabitForge ("we", "our", or "us"), developed by Kove, handles information in connection with the HabitForge iOS application ("the App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
By using HabitForge, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.
HabitForge is designed from the ground up to require no personal information. Specifically, we do not collect:
All data you create in HabitForge, including your habits, groups, completions, streaks, settings, and profile, is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device except as described in Section 4 (iCloud).
We have no access to, and cannot retrieve, any data stored on your device.
If you have iCloud enabled on your device, HabitForge may sync your habit data to your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit framework. This sync is:
To disable iCloud sync for HabitForge, go to Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud and toggle off HabitForge.
HabitForge may request permission to send local notifications for habit reminders. These notifications are:
HabitForge does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, social media, or tracking SDKs. The only third-party framework used is Apple's own frameworks (SwiftData, CloudKit, UserNotifications) which are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
The App is distributed through the Apple App Store, subject to Apple's standard terms and privacy practices.
HabitForge does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13, nor is it directed at children. Since we collect no personal data from any user, there is no risk of inadvertently collecting children's data through the App itself.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used HabitForge, there is nothing to be concerned about from a data collection standpoint. No personal information is collected from any user regardless of age.
Because all data is stored locally on your device and we collect no personal information on our servers, the primary security of your habit data depends on your device's own security, including your device passcode, Face ID / Touch ID, and iCloud security settings.
We recommend keeping your device software up to date and using a strong device passcode.
Since we do not collect or store any personal data on our servers, most data rights (access, correction, deletion, portability) can be exercised directly by you:
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom and have concerns, please contact us at the address below. As we collect no personal data, GDPR processing activities are minimal, but we are happy to address any concerns.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
