Ritual Circuits

Race your friends, wherever they are.

Ritual Circuits turns an ordinary run or ride into a live race. Share a code, start together from anywhere in the world, and watch the positions change in real time until someone crosses the line.

How it works

Three steps to the start line.

01

Create a circuit

Choose running or cycling, the race type, and a distance or a time limit.

02

Share the code

Friends join from their own iPhone, wherever they are in the world.

03

Race live

Everyone runs or rides their own route. Positions update as you go.

Two ways to race

First to the line, or furthest in time.

First to Distance is a classic race: the first to cover the set distance wins, from a short 0.5 km sprint up to a full marathon. Max Distance in Time sets the clock instead, from 5 minutes to 2 hours, and whoever covers the most ground wins.

Because every racer follows their own route, a friend on the other side of the world is as close as one on the next street.

  • Max Distance in Time: 5 minutes to 2 hours
During the race

Every metre, live.

The race screen shows your position, the whole field on a live track, your time, speed and pace, and exactly how far ahead or behind the next racer is. When it is over, results and a share card are waiting, and every race is kept in your circuit history.

Privacy

Shared for the race. Gone after it.

To run a live race, Ritual sends your display name, the profile photo you choose, your accent colour, a race ID that changes every race, and your live distance and route to a race server, and shows them to the other racers in that circuit. When the race ends, that data is deleted. It is never linked to an account, used for advertising or used for tracking. The details are in the privacy policy.
