Ritual's calculators, health scores, and analytical tools - including but not limited to VO2 Max estimation, biological age, body fat percentage, TDEE, BMR, lean body mass, hydration needs, heart rate zones, one-rep max, Wilks Score, and the composite Health Score - are based on population-level statistical formulas and general reference ranges derived from publicly available research and health organisation guidelines.

3. Exercise and Physical Activity Risk

Physical exercise and athletic training carry an inherent risk of injury, including but not limited to musculoskeletal injury, cardiovascular events, and exacerbation of pre-existing conditions. Ritual's training plans, workout recommendations, recovery protocols, and activity suggestions are generalised outputs and do not account for your individual physical condition, fitness level, injury history, or medical status.

Before beginning, modifying, or increasing any exercise programme - particularly if you have or suspect you have any cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, metabolic, or other health condition - you should consult a qualified medical professional or licensed exercise physiologist. This applies to all content within Ritual including strength training plans, cardio sessions, breathwork protocols, foam rolling, stretching, and step targets.

4. Consult a Qualified Healthcare Professional

Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare professional - such as a licensed physician, registered dietitian, physiotherapist, or other licensed medical provider - before making any decision related to your health, fitness, nutrition, supplementation, recovery, or training. This is especially important if you:

Do not disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it on the basis of information provided by Ritual.

5. Nutrition and Hydration

Ritual's hydration tracking, TDEE calculations, calorie burn estimates, and any nutritional guidance are general informational outputs only. They are not personalised dietary advice and should not be used to manage, treat, or influence clinical nutritional conditions including but not limited to eating disorders, diabetes, kidney disease, or any condition where nutritional intake is medically significant. Consult a registered dietitian or your physician for personalised dietary guidance.

6. Mental Health and Wellbeing

Ritual's gamification systems, streaks, goal-setting, and performance tracking are designed to support positive engagement with physical activity. They are not clinical tools and are not intended to treat, diagnose, or manage any mental health condition. If you experience distress, compulsive behaviour, or negative psychological effects in connection with exercise or fitness tracking, seek support from a qualified mental health professional.
