Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters. This Privacy Policy explains what Ritual collects, how it is used, and how your data is protected.

1. Who We Are

Ritual is developed and owned by the creator of Kove Perfumes, Chennai India.

2. Data We Collect

Ritual is designed to collect as little data as possible. We do NOT collect: personal identity information, email address, phone number, GPS location, contacts, calendar events, photos, microphone or camera data, advertising identifiers, analytics on your habits, financial information, or sensitive personal identity details.

Data stored on your device (never sent to us): workouts, exercises, sets, reps and cardio logs; hydration logs and daily water intake; strength, volume, and performance history; health score metrics entered by you; VO₂ Max, metabolism, one-rep max, and other calculator inputs; themes, settings, preferences; achievements, levels, XP progression; subscription status (stored securely via Apple). This data never leaves your device and is never sent to Kove's servers.

3. Optional Device Permissions

Ritual may request notification permission for workout reminders, cardio reminders, and water reminders. Notifications run locally on your device. No notification data is sent to our servers. Ritual does not request camera, photo library, or location access.

4. How Your Data is Used

Your data is used only to provide app functionality such as displaying your workout history, calculating strength progression, showing hydration totals, generating XP and achievements, and running calculators. We do NOT sell your data, share your data, track you across other apps, use third-party analytics SDKs, or use advertising networks. Ritual is a fully offline-first application.

5. Data Storage

All Ritual data is stored locally on your device, optionally backed up by Apple iCloud (managed entirely by Apple). No data is stored on servers owned or controlled by Kove. Deleting the App may permanently erase all stored data.

6. Third-Party Services

The only third-party systems interacting with Ritual are Apple (App Store, StoreKit, iCloud, Notification framework). Ritual does NOT send data to any server owned by Kove or any external party.

7. Health Data

Ritual allows you to enter certain fitness- and health-related metrics manually. Ritual does NOT integrate with Apple Health, Google Fit, or any external health database. All health-related inputs remain local to your device only.

8. Security

Since all data stays on your device, security relies on your device's passcode or Face ID / Touch ID, your iCloud security settings, and Apple's built-in encryption. We do not store or transmit your data.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of Ritual means you accept the updated terms.
